Abstract

Although overall breast cancer survival rates have vastly improved, there remains a limited understanding of the disparity by social deprivation. The reasons for disparities in incidence and mortality amongst different socioeconomic populations are complex and not completely understood. The aim of this retrospective cohort study is to explore the impact of social deprivation on breast cancer presentation and outcomes within a symptomatic breast unit.
