Abstract
Erectile dysfunction (ED) and lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) are common but often underreported conditions, especially in Ireland. Self-report questionnaires such as the 5-item International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) and the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) are widely used for diagnosing these conditions. However, few validated translations of these tools exist in regional languages like Irish. This study aims to translate, cross-culturally adapt, and psychometrically validate the IIEF-5 and IPSS into Irish for use in Ireland.
