Background: Global travel has never been more accessible throughout Europe. Thus, evaluating the survival outcomes in immigrant population diagnosed with breast cancer is imperative to ensure the provision of equitable healthcare.

Methods: A systematic review was performed in accordance with Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Basic descriptive statistics were performed. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS v26.0.

Results: A total of 1,667 studies were identified and reviewed. Overall, 8 studies met inclusion criteria, with 13.7% immigrants (n=1,004,186) and 86.3% natives (n=6,304,870). In total, immigrant populations had a mortality rate recorded of 0.674% (6,771/1,004,186) compared to 0.356% (22,436/6,304,870) in native populations (P<0.001). At meta-analysis, the mortality rate was higher in immigrant populations than native populations (hazard ratio: 1.91, 95% confidence interval: 1.86–1.96, P<0.001).

Conclusions: These data demonstrate that immigrant populations are more likely to die from breast cancer when compared to those from native populations. Given the increased propensity for immigration in European populations in recent years, eliciting the reasons for these disparities are important to improve outcomes for those immigrating to European countries.
