AB159. SOH22ABS158. Thick penile ring entrapment and strangulation: a case report and literature review

Background: Metal Penile ring entrapment during sexual self-satisfaction is one of the rare conditions in urological surgery. When the shaft of the penis becomes trapped in a metal ring, one risks losing their penis completely due to the lack of blood flow. We present the management of a case of an entrapped penis ring in the absence of management guidelines.

Methods: A 61-year-old male presented after 24 hours of very thick ring penile insertion for the sustainability of an erection, with painful penile swelling and acute urine retention. The patient was suffering from erectile dysfunction. Many failed attempts lasted for more than 5 hours due to the thickness of the metal ring under general anaesthesia.
