Foreword

In the recent past clarification of mesenteric and peritoneal anatomy has provided, for the first time, the opportunity to study these in a scientific manner. The field of mesenteric and peritoneal science has experienced a renaissance in investigation with significant scientific and clinical advancements. The aim of Mesentery and Peritoneum (MAP) is to provide a platform by which these advancements can be distilled, contextualised in terms of their importance, and globally communicated in a real-time manner. MAP aims to communicate the highest quality research using an open access platform and numerous user-friendly facilities. MAP will minimise the duration of review and publication processes whilst maintaining the highest standards of each. The global readership will enjoy updates on the most pressing of questions related to mesenteric and peritoneal science at all stages embryological development, childhood and adult life.
