Thyroid nodules are common, yet only a minority harbour clinically significant malignancy. Recent evidence and updated guidelines support higher thresholds for fine-needle aspiration (FNA), guided by structured ultrasound risk stratification systems. This study aimed to evaluate whether evolving evidence-based practices have influenced FNA utilisation at a single institution.
