Abstract

Breast reconstruction following mastectomy is an integral component of contemporary breast cancer management, contributing to improved body image, psychosocial recovery, and long-term quality of life. Outcomes may differ between reconstructive modalities, and evaluating patient-reported experiences is essential to informing high-quality, patient-centred care. This study aims to assess quality of life and patient-reported outcomes among individuals who underwent implant-based or latissimus dorsi (LD) flap reconstruction at University Hospital Limerick.
